What Farmers Ask About TYM

Real questions we hear at the counter โ€” answered straight.

“What size TYM tractor do I need for my property?”

It comes down to acreage and tasks. For properties under 5 acres with mowing, gardening, and light snow removal, a Series 1 sub-compact (21โ€“25 HP) like the T25 handles it beautifully. For 5โ€“20 acres with loader work, tilling, and bush hogging, step up to a Series 2 or 3 compact (24โ€“58 HP). Running a working farm with heavy implements? The Series 4 or 5 (48โ€“130 HP) gives you the muscle. Call us and we’ll match your list to the right tractor.

“How does TYM compare to Kubota or John Deere compacts?”

TYM gives you comparable quality at a lower price point โ€” typically 15โ€“25% less than Kubota or Deere for equivalent horsepower and features. TYM’s T754, for example, runs a Deutz engine with more efficient emissions (no DPF on some models), comes standard with power steering and a premium cabin, and includes features like Bluetooth speakers and wireless phone charging that are upgrades on other brands. Check our current TYM inventory.

“What attachments work with TYM tractors?”

TYM tractors use standard Category I or II 3-point hitches and 540 RPM PTO, so they’re compatible with most attachments you’d find at any dealer: box blades, rotary tillers, bush hogs, post hole diggers, snow blowers, pallet forks, and more. TYM also offers their own branded attachments designed to match perfectly. Browse attachments on our lot.

“Is TYM a reliable brand? I’ve never heard of them.”

TYM has been building tractors for over 70 years and has been in North America for 20+. They recently merged with Branson (Kukje Machinery), combining 100+ years of ag manufacturing expertise. They’re ISO-certified for quality and environmental management. Their sub-compact and compact tractors have earned a strong reputation among property owners and hobby farmers. They’re not a newcomer โ€” just quieter than the big-name brands.

“What financing is available on TYM tractors?”

Right now TYM is offering 0% APR for 60 months on select models, with rates as low as 1.99% for 72 months and 2.99% for 84 months. Buy now, no payments until spring. Financing is through DLL, and we can get you pre-approved same day. Learn about financing or call us at 574-862-1163.

“Do you service TYM tractors in your shop?”

Yes. Wakarusa Ag is a full-service TYM dealer. We handle warranty work, routine maintenance, and repairs. We stock filters, fluids, and common wear parts, and can order anything else direct from TYM’s parts network. Schedule service or order parts anytime.

5 Things to Do Before the Season Starts

Don’t wait until the first good day to discover a problem. Get ahead of it now.

Test Your Battery & Electrical
Cold-weather storage drains batteries. Load-test your tractor battery and check all connections before the first start of the season.
Change Fluids & Filters
Engine oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel filters, air filters. Don’t start the season with old fluids. Order TYM filters from our parts counter.
Inspect 3-Point Hitch & PTO
Check pins, bushings, and PTO shaft condition. Grease all zerk fittings. If your PTO clutch slips, bring it in before planting starts.
Check Tires & Ballast
Inspect tire pressure and tread. For heavy loader work or tilling, add rear wheel weights or fill tires with fluid for better traction.
Plan Your Attachments
Make a list of what you need for the season โ€” tiller, bush hog, seeder, blade. Call us and we’ll make sure you’re set up before the rush.
